General Practice Schedule
- Swimmers must attend the practice session for their age group. Coaches may move swimmers to a different practice to better match capabilities.
- Please, no parents on the deck during practice. The coaches need to focus on the swimmers. If you have questions, please contact one of the Team Reps.
- A parent or guardian MUST REMAIN on pool grounds for 8 & under practices as well as Fledglings.
- Divers must attend a minimum of 45 minutes of practice.
Practices will be held Monday through Friday. First day of practice is the day after Memorial Day. Until after school is out, swim practice is in the afternoon after school. Practices move to morning practices for all swimmers once school (FCPS) is done for the summer. There are no afternoon practices once (FCPS) school is out.
Plan Now to Be Here During Summer! The summer swimming season is short, and leaves plenty of room for other activities after the season. There are only five individual meets and one Divisional Relay meet (the "A meets" or Saturday meets and one Wednesday midseason) with team scores that determine team standings. Our team can only do its best when every swimmer who qualifies for A meets is available to swim in the Saturday meets. Please try to schedule vacations and other activities to start after Divisionals--the team needs you!

*A few notes regarding after school practices. We know that our Ravens swimmers are busy, especially the last few weeks of the school years. If you are unable to attend until school is out for summer, we understand, don't let that keep you from signing up early. We want our swimmers to get in as much practice as possible, but understand there are conflicts with spring sports as well as year round swimmers. Work with your coaches to find a schedule that works for you.
